Dec. 27 - Security Camera Feed, Splintered Rock
A number of months ago, scientists from the Zenobia Alpinia Testing Facility launched a small orbiting research station.
The results were disastrous. After flying over a mere four regions, the reactor proved to be unstable. A mid-flight attempt to repair the problem led to a reactor overload and pieces of the station hurtling to the planet surface. The crew was lost and there was substantial damage in the impact zone.
However, once the reactor core difficulties were ironed out, the small research station became an ideal candidate for service as both a mobile and stationary listening post. Several such stations have since been deployed.
One of these listening posts, transiting Al Raqis, picked up on item of interest caught on a security camera at the landing pad at Splintered Rock. Analysts identified Ardra in the photo and it was sent immediately to my desk.
A short time later a message filtered in from Ardra herself, by way of Constable Vooper of Splintered Rock, and from there, through diplomatic channels. It would seem she wanted to speak with someone from Zenobia.
The message was incomplete however, and it is unclear who exactly she was trying to contact. Considering the proximity of Ardra to the Constable in the photograph, it's remarkable that he managed to relay a message at all.
