Caliban

Sept. 2 - Caliban

After a brief rest, following my meeting with Colonel M_______, I travelled to Caliban to supervise the testing of a new weapons platform and warbot, and to conduct drills with supporting infantry.

Caliban is the moon of Miranda. Outside the Dome, the atmosphere is lethal and the ground broken and lifeless. Its unforgiving environment makes it a suitable location for training maneuvers as most field activity will be likely be under softer, more hospitable conditions regardless of location.

We began with simple targeting exercises before advancing to more sophisticated testing.

The weapons platform, operated by Trooper F______, while it was slow and cumbersome, shows to be a well armored mobile artillery unit that will perform well in flat terrain. These early tests also indicate that Warbot QCUxRIOT Mode will prove to be an effective anti-infantry measure.

I will recommend field testing of these two units in actual conditions prior to permanent deployment.
